Welcome to For the Glory, soldier! We are an intermediate roleplay about the anime/manga Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin). Our story begins soon after the battle for Trost, leaving our characters, worn, battered and distraught. The popular district is currently overrun with titans, leaving it useless for any sort of cause that could aid in humanity’s fight. Those in the military are currently trying to devise a plan to take back Trost, and an operation will be put into place - that is, as soon as they acquire enough warm bodies to do so. Until then, they are in the midst of a hiatus, training as many cadets as possible to help them in carrying out their plan. The fight against the tyrannous beasts that rule over this world is as ruthless and relentless as ever, and it is up to you, soldier, to decide where our story will turn. Will humanity be able to retake Trost, or will it forever be in the merciless grasp of the titans? The answer is up to you.

Faithful - For anyone that Petra trusts, she makes sure that she is by their side as much as humanly possible. If fate decides it must be so, than she will be more than willing to put her life on the back-burner if it means protecting the one she's devoted to. At this current point in time, it is her one and only Captain - she hopes to one day live up to his honor.
Realistic - Petra knows not to shoot for things that are too high for her fingers to reach. The stars are something to always try to grasp, but when there's no ladder in sight, she is perfectly aware that trying for impossible things will only be a waste of her time. She wants to be efficient, and uselessly squandering precious moments she has out of the day is doing the exact opposite of that.
Intuitive - When Levi isn't there to tell her and the rest of the squad what it is they should be doing or focusing on, the small Scout holding ten solo kills and forty-eight team kills usually is the one to pick up the reigns. She does this without noticing, but she is good at reading the situation, and she enjoys being something for her teammates to look up to.
Emotional - On the good side of the spectrum, this allows her to feel empathetic of others and it gives her a stronger incentive to fight against the titans. She is very in-tune with her emotional side, and this allows her to well with joy when others would be too depressed to even begin to figure out how to do such a thing.
Trusting - When she puts her faith and loyalty into someone, she will trust them with the entirety of her life. If she were told to jump off of a cliff for a greater purpose, she would be asking for directions. Petra, in turn, respects the same treatment, however; she isn't willing to trust someone if they aren't prepared to trust her entirely in return.
NEGATIVE
Bossy - Some of her teammates might have this word to say about her. When Levi isn't around, some think that she is doing nothing but barking orders and judging others, but really, she is just trying to bring out the best people that she knows her friends can be. At least that's what she tells herself - Petra has a bad habit of acting in the moment.
Logical - Although some would treat this as a good attribute, this feature of hers has proven to do more bad than good. Whenever things don't go as planned or different from what she had intended, she is dumbfounded. Petra doesn't necessarily do back-up plans, so when one is needed, she is simply out of luck. More or less, she.. Panics.
Fearful - Even though she does well whenever Levi is separated from them in a normal setting, whenever they are in a stressful one, Petra is nothing more than a command-following droid. She acts only on orders and has no sense of instincts during these trying times, but she convinces herself that even if she didn't freeze up in these circumstances, she would be doing nothing but listening to her Captain's orders. The trust she puts in him can overcome any fear.
Emotional - On the negative side of the spectrum, this allows her to deal with an overload of stress that she otherwise didn't have to bear. She is always deeply saddened when she sees death and destruction around her, even more so than her teammates and most of the people she trained with. No one is ever ready to face a titan, but it never.. Gets easier for her. Even though this is her job and the life she has chosen, it will always remain difficult for her.
Trusting - This isn't a bad thing, except when it's taken into consideration regarding one aspect: trust can easily be put into the wrong person. Thankfully, it was put into her Captain, but what if she was deceived by someone a lot less honorable? Who knows where she would have ended up, truthfully speaking...
biography
Petra feels as though her life, up until she join the military, didn't have much meaning behind it. As a small child, the games she would play had to do with fighting the titans, though the other kids in her neighborhood didn't understand or thought that she was being raised by heretics. She wanted to know what it was like outside of this cage that she was forced to call home - she wanted to give her life value. These were the things that she was sure of at a very young age, and her parents were very supportive of her, albeit they were quite worried for her as well.
She joined the cadets as soon as she possibly could, at the age of twelve. Her training was rough and intense, though she had quickly risen in the rankings. Petra enjoyed being challenged and pressing herself to the limits, and even though there were a few times that she felt defeated and broken, the cadet found her way back to the top - when she got knocked down, she was never fallen for long.
Her graduation was there in no-time at all, and of course she chose to follow her dream of being a Scout. During her time as a new recruit into the regiment, she watched as those she had come to know fondly get eaten and eliminated, while she somehow managed to remain alive throughout all of her struggles. For a while, this perplexed her beyond recognition, but she had managed to begin to understand that all things couldn't be controlled - she couldn't save everyone.
She still remembers the day that her Captain joined the Scouting Regiment due to the word of the second-in-command at the time, Irvin Smith. Shadis had allowed that the three be taken into the ranks, and they showed quickly that they were perfectly inclined to take care of themselves. That was until, however, the two friends that came along with him perished at the hands of an abnormal, leaving Levi Ackerman all by himself in the rankings.
He earned her respect quickly and he was soon put into a position of command. Herself, along with three others, were picked out to be the new captain's squad; they were to answer directly to him and were explained that they were a set team of elites - supposedly the best of the best. How Petra had wound up here was still beyond her, but she was more than happy to be here, proving her worth as an individual. Levi changed her for the better, in her opinion, truly showing her how to work as a part of a team. In turn, she has become slightly dependent upon his orders, but can still manage to lead in calm and casual situations.
Petra never forgets to feel grateful for the life she has been given, and she never allows herself to let go of the feeling of thankfulness that she was placed in a team with a leader as honorable, as trustworthy, and as strong as the Captain she has grown to know rather fondly.
